CARSON CITY SERENADE. I have unofficially declared this the anthem of my town (calls itself a City.) The images make sense to anyone who lives here–the wobbly sidewalks, Cactus Jack, the cars going through. We really don’t like to think of ourselves as “western”, as most folks in town have escaped some other civilized place (probably changed their name) and then come here to declare themselves different from that other place whose best qualities they declare to have imported. In other words, no one seems to have come here for the sagebrush and pines that envelope everything.
